The Shift Inward

I’m always interested to watch what’s going on “out there” (meaning with people I follow, those from whom I receive emails, people whose work has fascinated me).

I notice larger energetic trends happening. I don't know these people personally, so I'm reading what they're doing and saying. And what I'm seeing is consistent.

Right now the trends I’m noticing include:

1) way more honesty

2) paring back to what’s MOST real and true and important

3) dropping the external focus for the algorithm and embracing what’s coming from within

4) returning to something more meaningful from before

And while I numbered those, in a way they can all be summed up in one:

The reclamation revolution

Some of us are coming home.

Not to a place we've already been exactly, because you can never truly go back, but to a version of ourselves we recognize when we see it.

And the interesting bit is that this shift isn't happening despite the exhaustion and the burnout and the collective "I can't keep doing this." It's happening because of it. The bone-deep exhaustion is finally painful enough that we're listening to it. The burnout is the signal that something was misaligned.

I mean, who knew, right? 🙄

So when I watch someone strip their business back to what's real, or when I notice a creator suddenly stop performing for the algorithm and start creating for their own soul instead - it doesn’t feel at all like retreat. It feels like recalibration, like reclaiming. It’s someone finally trusting that what comes from them is more valuable than what comes at them in the form of likes and follows and validation from the outside.

The people I'm noticing doing this aren't apologizing for it either. They're not saying "sorry for the change in direction, I'm exploring a bit.” They're saying "this is what's alive for me right now" and letting that be enough.

And maybe that's the real trend underneath all four of those. Not that things are shifting outward (new platform, new strategy, new offer). But that things are shifting inward. That people are finally asking themselves "what do I actually want to create here?" instead of "what does the algorithm want me to create?"

I am - finally - here for it.
